MXGP: Tim Gajser, Jeffrey Herlings Double Up In Qatar

Honda Gariboldi’s Tim Gajser and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jeffrey Herlings doubled up to claim the first red plates of the 2016 FIM Motocross World Championship at the MXGP of Qatar at Losail, February 27. Gajser and Herlings won both of their motos—Gajser in MXGP and Herlings in MX2.
Gajser dominated both MXGP motos, finishing seven seconds ahead of HRC Honda’s Evgeny Bobryshev and 19 seconds ahead of Yamaha’s Romain Febvre in the first moto, and eight seconds ahead of Febvre in the second moto. Bobryshev crossed the finish line right behind Febvre, making it Gajser, Febvre and Bobryshev in the overall results column.
The top three were the same in both MX2 motos, with Herlings winning them both ahead of Kawasaki’s Dylan Ferrandis and KTM’s Pauls Jonass.
