John McGuinness On Provisional Pole At Macau

John McGuinness has planted his factory Honda CBR1000RR on provisional pole position at the Macau Grand Prix from multi-time Macau Grand Prix winner Michael Rutter.
McGuinness put in a 2:27.246 lap, 1.6sec faster than the fastest time of Free Practice top place holder Martin Jessop who slipped to third behind Rutter. Fourth went to 2013 race winner Ian Hutchinson from Gary Johnson and Austrian Horst Saiger.
As for the Americans racing at Macau, Mark Miller used his Splitlath Racing EBR to hoist himself into 11th while Brandon Cretu rode his Bimota BB3 to 28th place, 12.3sec off McGuinness.
Canada’s Dan Kruger, who this year is teammate to second-placed Rutter, sits 26th.
