Coming into the National Hare and Hound season finale with a sizeable lead, Factory FMF KTM’s Ivan Ramirez needed little more than a top-ten finish to seal the championship, and a seventh-place finish was enough to seal the deal. The Red Bull-backed rider celebrated the 2015 AMA National Hare and Hound Championship, and became the first Mexican rider to earn an AMA National title.

Not to be overshadowed by Ramirez’ championship, defending Champion Ricky Brabec made his final run with the number-one plate a winning one, as he took the overall win in the 100s MC 48th Annual Johnson Valley Championship. The eighth and final round of the National Hare and Hound championship marked Brabec’s first ride aboard a JCR Honda, signaling Honda’s return to the desert. Despite dealing with injuries throughout the 2015 season, Brabec earned the number two plate for the year.

Husqvarna’s Jacob Argubright finished second on the day followed by KTM-mounted Gary Sutherlin, who took third on the day, and for the season. Axel Pearson piloted his Purvines Racing Beta to fourth overall, and in the championship.

Dalton Shirey once again piloted his Husqvarna to the number one spot in the FMF Pro 250 class after having already wrapped up the championship. He finished sixth overall behind Ryan Smith, who rounded out the top-five aboard his Yamaha.
