Hillclimb Racer Colin Krenzul Passes

Sixteen-year-old Colin Krenzul, of Holland, Massachusetts, passed away due to injuries sustained in a street bike accident near his home, Tuesday, August 19. Krenzul was one of AMA Pro Hillclimb’s talented new riders coming into the series who, after five rounds, was in second place in the championship points.

“It is a great loss to the entire Hillclimb community to lose such a respectful kid with such promise and he will be sadly missed by everyone,” said AMA Pro Racing’s Steve Whitehead. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.”

According to reports, Krenzul crashed in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, and was the only vehicle involved in the incident. Krenzul was treated at the scene and then taken to Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, where he later was pronounced dead.
