Millville, MN (July 19, 2014) – This weekend’s round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Series at Spring Creek Raceway in Millville, Minnesota, was quite eventful, especially in the 250 class.

Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha’s Jeremy Martin came away with another win, his fourth of the season, extending his lead in the series standings. Meanwhile, after finishing fourth in the first moto, Martin’s chief rival in the title chase, Blake Baggett, DNFed the second moto when his Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki stopped running midway into the race, which pretty much takes the Californian out of the serious running for the championship.

In the meantime, Red Bull KTM’s Marvin Musquin had a big day, going 2-4 for second overall, which was by far his best finish of the season.

Martin’s teammate, Cooper Webb, took the win in the second moto and despite finishing ninth in moto one, the North Carolina rider claimed the final step of the podium with a third overall.

Christophe Pourcel led in both motos, but ultimately settled into fourth overall after going 3-6. Dean Wilson rounded out the top five with a 5-5 on his Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki.

With four rounds remaining in the series, Martin sits atop the standings with 341 points, Webb takes over second with 298, and Baggett sits third with 285.
