Buchanan, Michigan (July 5, 2014) – Jeremy Martin grabbed his sixth moto win of the season and got back on the winning track by parlaying a 1-2 moto finish in the 250 class into the overall victory at the Red Bud National Motocross.

After falling on hard times at the last two rounds, the Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha rider passed early leader Christophe Pourcel on lap five to take the lead in the opening moto.

Martin would end up leading the remainder of the race, but he would have to hold off heavy pressure late in the race from Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett.

At the finish, Martin took the win by a second over Baggett with Rockstar Racing’s Jason Anderson over 45 seconds back in third.

Moto two was a two-way battle between Martin and his teammate Cooper Webb, who finished 14th in the first moto after going down.

GEICO Honda’s Justin Bogle led the race early, but went down on lap five, handing the lead over to Webb, who had Martin in tow.

Webb pulled a couple of seconds on Martin near the end of the race, however, with three laps to go, Martin put on a charge to try and catch Webb, but came up just short.

Webb won the moto with Martin in second and Red Bull KTM’s Marvin Musquin in third.

Baggett suffered a bad start and was 13th at the end of the first lap. He moved up to fifth by lap seven, however a couple of mistakes left him seventh at the end of the moto.

Martin took the overall with a 1-2, while Musquin was second at 4-3. Anderson (3-4) and Baggett (2-7) were third and fourth overall, with Webb rounding out the top five with a 14-1.

In the overall standings, Martin has 250 points, with Webb second with 227 and Baggett in third with 222.
