The following is from Motorcycle Superstore…

MEDFORD, OR (July 7, 2014) Motorcycle Superstore / Bell Helmet rider Kyle Johnson put together an exciting come-from-behind victory on his Parkinson Brothers Honda to win the Pro Singles AMA Pro Flat Track class at Hagerstown, Maryland.

The win, Johnson’s third in a row, has now propelled him to the top spot in the series points chase. “Coming into Hagerstown with back-to-back wins and the points race tightening up brought extra pressure. I needed to keep the momentum going and claim as many points as possible. After qualifying we were once again in the top spot and backed that up with a heat race win. I got a terrible start in the main and knew I had my work cut out for me. Once I got to third, Wells and Davis had stretched out their lead in front of me, so I had a lot of ground to make up. I was able to make a late race charge to take the win.”

Motorcycle Superstore’s Ryan Well finished second after Johnson’s last lap charge to steal the overall. Wells had a strong race but couldn’t quite close the deal. “I got off to a great start and it was a quiet race for me as I didn’t make many mistakes. Then on lap 15 I heard the first noises I heard the whole race, sure enough it was Kyle who was on a mission and got by me on the last lap.”

Honorable mention goes out to Superstore support riders Jarod VanDerKooi and Dan Bromley who finished 4th and 5th and Mike Poe who finished 9th.

The next round of the AMA Pro Flat Track series heads west to Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington on July 19. If you can’t be there, make sure to check out the live action on FansChoice.tv
