Arm-Pump Surgery For Cal Crutchlow

Ducati’s Cal Crutchlow underwent surgery on both arms yesterday in Spain to relieve arm pump (compartment syndrome). He is expected top be ready to race gain after the summer break – at the next round of the MotoGP World Championship, the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix in early August.
The surgery took place at the Universitario Quiron Dexeus Hospital in Barcelona, Spain. Crutchlow stayed the night in hospital and is expected to head back to the Isle of Man on Wednesday. Noted Spanish surgeon Dr. Xavier Mir performed the surgery.
This isn’t Crutchlow’s first arm-pump surgery. He’s had his left forearm operated on once and his right three times. The procedure included incisions to release the pressure on the muscle and “mesenchymal cells” were implanted to prevent future formation of liquid.
