AmPro Yamaha Confirms Whibley, Ashburn and Russell for 2014 KENDA Tennessee Knockout

Press Release | July 24, 2014

Top team will provide three podium contenders

The N-Fab AmPro Yamaha team has confirmed that Paul Whibley, Jordan Ashburn and Ricky Russell will all be on hand to compete in the 2014 KENDA Tennessee Knockout. The top-flight team will be among the favorites for the podium positions.

Whibley, the 2009 and 2012 GNCC champion finished third at the inaugural KENDA Tennessee Knockout in 2011 and fourth the following year. He had to miss the 2013 event due to injury and his incredible fitness will make him a threat on the grueling TKO obstacles.

Ashburn has competed in all three TKO events and had finished in the top ten on all three occasions. The Tennessee native is on a hot streak with two podium finishes in the 2013 GNCC series, including a second at the tough Snowshoe event.

Ricky Russell is a Northwest Native that moved east to hone his off-road skills and he has multiple wins in the GNCC XC2 class this season. Russell is currently running second in the GNCC XC2 points and the young gun should be a thorn in the side of the top pro riders at his first attempt at the TKO.

The KENDA AMA Tennessee Knockout, fueled by Monster Energy and presented by Moose Racing and SRT has quickly become one of the premier off-road events on the calendar. Top riders from the GNCC, National Enduro and EnduroCross series will again face off on the extremely challenging course in a spectator friendly multi-round Knockout format. The fourth annual event will take place on August 16-17, 2014 at the Trials Training Center in Sequatchie, Tennessee.

The amateur classes, which compete on Saturday are already full but spectators are encouraged to come check out the exciting pro action on Sunday, August 17th.
