X Games Enduro X Hits Austin this Friday

Press Release | June 4, 2014

Many of the world’s top off-road motorcycle racers will converge on Austin, Texas this Friday for the X Games Enduro X, which will also serve as round two of the 2014 GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship. The event will take place at the world class Circuit of The America, which has hosted MotoGP and Formula one events.

American Cody Webb enters the event as the point’s leader after a convincing win at the Las Vegas opener and will be gunning for his first X Games Gold to add to his collection of Silver and Bronze medals. But you can be sure that Poland’s Taddy Blazusiak will be on a mission to win another X Games Gold medal in Austin after a disappointing third place finish at the opening round. Add in Colton Haaker, Mike Brown, Taylor Robert, Cory Graffunder, Kyle Redmond, Geoff Aaron, Destry Abbott and several other riders gunning for medals and you have a great recipe for some exciting action.

The women have an equally strong field of riders that includes FMF KTM backed Kacy Martinez, who got her first EnduroCross win at the Las Vegas opener. Defending Women’s champion Chantelle Bykerk will be looking for a Gold medal to take back to Canada.

“The Circuit of The Amerca’s is going to be an amazing venue for X Games” said Eric Peronnard, X Games Two Wheel Sports Organizer. “We have another world class field of riders competing in the Men’s and Women’s Enduro X events and look forward to some exciting racing”.

The Enduro X events will take place on Friday, June 6th at 4:00 pm Central time. It is scheduled to air live on ESPN3. X Games Austin will feature 20 Hours of Live Coverage on ESPN and ABC networks plus additional coverage online. Get more information about X Games Austin here: www.xgamesaustin.com
