Steve Rapp made it look easy Sunday in the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series race at Barber Motorsports Park. Rapp led every lap en route to a 11.114-second victory over Danny Eslick.

Rapp was flawless on his Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson XR1200 as he took an early lead and steadily pulled away. There was an epic five-rider battle for second. Kyle Wyman crashed out of that battle on lap five. In the end it was Eslick winning the position over Benny Carlson, Tyler O’Hara and Shane Narbonne.

Daytona winner O’Hara now leads the series by just a single point (66-65) over Eslick. Carlson is third with 60 points.

It marked the first win of the season for Rapp, the defending series champ.

“That’s the way I like for those races to go, running out front by myself,” Rapp said. “My crew gave me the best XR1200 out there; probably the best one in America and I appreciate all their hard work.”
