Charlie Mullins is scheduled to undergo surgery tomorrow to repair a broken scaphoid in his left hand. The FMF/KTM rider and current leader of the National Enduro series point standings just had surgery to re-set his right wrist after dislocating it during a practice crash, however, when he went back in to have the wrist re-evaluated his doctor discovered a broken bone in his other hand. Mullins currently has a cast on both hands and says that when he was first evaluated, his right wrist hurt so bad that he didn’t notice the pain in the left hand. Mullins hopes to be back on a bike in mid-September.
