SAN BERNARDINO, CA, MAY 22 – The Rockstar Energy Team will be a little short handed Saturday at the opening round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship at Glen Helen Raceway. Two of its riders — Davi Millsaps and Joey Savatgy (pictured) — won’t be on the starting line.

Millsaps, who sat out the last year’s outdoor series and the 2014 Supercross Series with two separate knee injuries and was expected to suit up for the 2014 Nationals, won’t be ready in time due to a foot injury that he suffered earlier this year. He was hopeful he would be ready to ride by Glen Helen, but it turns out he’s not, according to his team. He will miss multiple rounds.

Millsaps’s teammate, Joey Savatgy, who also missed the 2014 Supercross Series with a wrist injury, suffered a broken collarbone while practicing last week. Luckily for him, it wasn’t a serious break. He had the collarbone plated and is expected to be back in action in the 250 class next week at Hangtown.

All is not lost for the Rockstar Team, however. Recently crowned 250 West Supercross Champion Jason Anderson is healthy and ready to go.
