LUCERNE VALLE, CA, APR. 13 – Kawasaki rider Ricky Brabec captured his first ever National Hare & Hound victory and became the third different rider this year to win a round of the AMA/SRT Hare & Hound National Championship, this one coming at the Slim Tesh Memorial at Lucerne Valley, California, April 13.

Brabec battled round-one winner Ivan Ramirez for much of the race and finished just ahead of the FMF/KTM Team rider. Ramirez, however, was DQed for having taken a wrong section of the course, a small section that was designated for the ATV course. His team is expected to file an appeal, so results are currently unofficial.

For now, Husqvarna’s Jacob Argubright has been awarded second, followed by Beta’s Nick Burson and Justin Morrow, and Honda rider Max Eddy.

Colton Udall suffered a broken femur when he went down during the bomb run.
