HURRICANE, UTAH, APR. 14 – Gary Sutherlin extended his win streak to four in the 2014 Rocky Mountain MC World Off-Road Championship Series presented by Motoworks and Dirt Bike Magazine. Justin Seeds finished a career best second place followed by Robby Bell in third.
For round four, the WORCS series headed to the famous Sand Hollow State Park in Hurricane, Utah, which is known for its scenic views and hundreds of miles of trails with a mixture of sand, sandstone, and hard-pack desert terrain to challenge the racers.
KTM-mounted Gary Sutherlin grabbed the holeshot and checked out on the competition, as he led the race from start to finish to secure his fourth straight win of the season to further extend his points lead over Bell in the points chase.
Precision Concept’s Justin Seeds, who finished third at this race last year, grabbed the second spot on the podium. Seeds held the second spot from start to finish, as he ran a near flawless race to the finish line.
Defending WORCS Champion Bell claimed the final spot on the podium, which keeps Bell in the points chase heading into the second half of the season.
In the Pro 2 class, RPM/KTM’s Travis Coy and David Broderick battled back and forth the first half of the race, but Coy took over the lead for good in the final laps of the race to secure his second straight win. Broderick held on to finish in the second spot followed by privateer Erik King.
