Cycle News Staff | March 6, 2014
Troy Lee Designs/MAVTV Honda’s Malcolm Stewart will race his brother James Stewart at the Daytona Supercross on Saturday night, marking the first time the two will go head to head in a 450 Supercross.
Malcolm Stewart, who currently sits sixth in 250 West Supercross Series on his TLD Honda, will race a 450 in a Supercross for the first time in what is inarguably the most grueling Supercross on the schedule.
Stewart will wear a special commemorative Peter Fonda inspired red, white and blue TLD helmet in Daytona.
“Malcolm’s been doing a great job for us,” said team owner Troy Lee in a team release. “We have high expectations for him in the outdoors and this race is good prep. I can’t wait to watch him this weekend.”
The race will air live from Daytona International Speedway on Fox Sports 1 starting at 4:30 p.m. (Pacific) and 7:30 p.m. (Eastern).
