No TV For AMA Pro Road Racing And AMA Pro Flat Track In 2014

Andrea Wilson | March 12, 2014

AMA Pro Racing has announced that in place of a television package for the 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing and Pro Flat Track seasons, all of the races will be streamed live on a new digital platform called FansChoice.tv.

FansChoice.tv allows fans to watch races live for free around the world. And if you miss the live race the archived broadcasts are available on demand. It also allows fans to choose from different viewpoints in addition to the live timing and scoring data and listen to audio from the track’s PA system.

Fans will get their first chance to try FansChoice.tv during Thursday’s opening AMA Pro Flat Track round at the Daytona short track. Coverage will continue the rest of the Daytona weekend of the second dirt track round on Friday night and the AMA Pro Road Races on Friday and Saturday – including the Daytona 200.

“This is a great opportunity to bring all the action from the track right to the fans,” Michael Gentry, chief operating officer for AMA Pro Racing said in a release. “FansChoice.tv is a revolutionary platform that gives race fans all over the world unprecedented access to watch their favorite series wherever we race. This is fantastic news for all of our AMA Pro Road Racing and AMA Pro Flat Track fans.”

The site also provides coverage for select IMSA and NASCAR races to compliment those series’ TV packages.
