Sherco USA, importers of Sherco Trials Motorcycles, has announced the signing of six-time National NATC/AMA MotoTrial Pro Champion Patrick Smage for the 2014 season.

Smage, from Wisconsin, will be competing in this year’s eight-round AireS NATC/AMA MotoTrials championship on a Sherco ST300.

Smage, who originally signed with Sherco at age 12, and has been on the Sherco USA team for 12 consecutive years, has won eight championships, one in the youth category, one in a support class, and six while in the Pro class.

“We are extremely pleased to continue with Pat in Mototrials competition,” said Ryan Young, Team Manager of Sherco USA, and himself a 6 time national champion. “Each year he continues to amaze us with his riding ability, just when you think he can’t get any better he pulls of a new move that blows you away.”

Smage has been a major innovator in the sport, and young riders will be imitating his riding style and moves for years to come.

“Pat is unbelievably smooth and explosive all at the same time,” added Young.
