PERRIS, CALIFORNIA, MAR. 28 – Marvin Musquin spent the day at Starwest MX Park in California today getting some laps in on his factory Red Bull KTM 250 SX-F. This is basically Musquin’s first week back on the bike since injuring his knee just before the 2014 AMA Supercross Series. He was planning on competing in the 250 East Championship. The injury required ACL replacement surgery that he had performed on January 3 at home in France, where he has spent over a month doing special therapy and rehabilitation.

The last week, Musquin has been gradually and cautiously strengthening the knee, riding mostly vet tracks and keeping the bike close to the ground, leaving the big jumps for later. After today, he’ll let the knee rest for at least another week before stepping up his training program.

Musquin says the knee is coming along well but is a little sore, which is to be expected.

He also said that he definitely plans on being ready to go for the opening round of the outdoor Nationals at Glen Helen in May.
