ATLANTA, GA, FEB. 22 –Justin Bogle comes into tonight’s round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome carrying good momentum after grabbing a well deserved fifth place last week in Texas in the 250 SX Regional division series opener.

Despite missing the podium last week, the GEICO Honda rider was pleased with his finish since he came from last place on the first lap of the race to grab the top five finish.

“I got a terrible start, but I was able to work my way up and I’m happy to get out of the first round with a fifth,” said Bogle. “I did damage control and got out of there with good points.”

Bogle has only been back on the bike for a few weeks after spending most of the off-season recovering from a back injury.

“I’m just a few weeks in now, and I really haven’t got to do a lot of riding up to this point, so it was good to score a top five last week, that kind of got the bag of bricks off my back, and I’m excited about the rest of the season.”

As far as his back injury, Bogle says it’s doing well and on track for a complete recovery.

“You play the cards you’re dealt, and this was just one of those situations,” said Bogle. “I worked as hard as I could while I was off and hopefully I made the best of it.”

Bogle sits fifth in point standings heading into tonight’s race, while the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki trio of Adam Cianciarulo, Blake Baggett and Martin Davalos occupy the top three positions after last week’s opener in Texas.
