Supercross: Josh Grant To Skip San Diego

Josh Grant

According to JGRMX/Toyota/Yamaha, Josh Grant will miss this weekend’s round of the 2014 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series in San Diego due to a torn muscle in his shoulder. Grant tore the muscle during the Phoenix round of the series a few weeks ago and though has tried to race through the pain, it’s been very difficult. Grant and the team feel that resting and healing so he can regain his speed and strength before racing again is the best decision, so the team has announced that Phil Nicoletti will fill in for Grant at this weekend’s race.

Nicoletti joined the team prior to the start of the 2014 season as part of a new pilot program designed to assist promising talent while also providing a substitute rider ready to fill in on a moment’s notice.
