Youthstream, the promoters of the Motocross World Championship, announced today that this year’s motocross GPs will air on CBS Sports Network in the U.S. and Canada.

CBS Sports Network will showcase the GP Series as part of its CBS Sports Spectacular programming, according to Youthstream.

The Grand Prix Series will air on a same-day basis, starting with the opening round in Qatar on March 1.

The Monster Energy Motocross of Nations also has been confirmed to return on CBS Sports Network, Youthstream says. This year’s event will be held in Latvia at the Kegums circuit on September 28.

The agreement also provides television exposure to the World FIM Junior Motocross Championship, according to Youthstream. That event will be held on August 10 in Belgium.

“The partnership with CBS Sports Network represents a new milestone in the prestigious history of the FIM MXGP championship,” said Mario Marini, Youthstream’s Director of Corporate Relations. “With the recent upgrade across the entire branding and image of the MXGP series, with unparalleled coverage around the world, we add now this massive exposure in North America to fully serve the U.S. and Canadian audience and industry.”
