Supercross: Legends And Heroes Set To Kick Off

The Legends and Heroes Tour will get rolling this weekend at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, as the traveling moto museum starts its fifth year with a new and improved set-up for 2014.

The Legends and Heroes Tour was first conceived in 2009 to supply vintage bikes for the Supercross and Motocross series and it has come a long way since then. With help from Gary Bailey, the tour renovated Bailey’s original MX school fifth wheel into the first traveling moto museum.

The AMA Supercross season opener at Angel Stadium will kick-off the industry’s first digital media moto museum tour. In addition to displaying past champion’s machines and historical paraphernalia, a state of the art digital showcase of the history of the sport will be played in an audio-visual theater format.

As well as honoring the champions and machines from the past 40 years of Supercross throughout the 2014 tour, the Legends and Heroes team also invites fans to join them the night before Anaheim II for a “Reunion of Champions.” Join the Legends and Heroes Tour from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, January 17 at the OC Sports Bar, which is located at 450 N State College Blvd, Orange, California. All former Supercross Champions who are of age have been invited, with such notables as Pierre Karsmakers, Jimmy “Caption Cobalt” Ellis, Bob “Hurricane” Hannah, Mark “The Bomber” Barnett, Donnie “Hole Shot” Hansen, and Jeff Ward scheduled to attend.

In addition to returning sponsors – Bike Week Radio Show, Bel Ray, Boyesen Engineering, Motion Pro, Racer X, MX Sports, Kawasaki, SLS Audio, KTM, Dunlop, and the Early Years of Motocross Museum – Monster Energy, Feld Motorsports, and Food For Life Baking Company have joined along with 100%, Toyota, Shark Kage, Acerbis, Honda, Unadilla Sports Center, Freestone Race Way, Yamaha, Best Buy, RCA, LG Electronics, Forest River RV, Cargomate and Best Buy Trailers.
