Downingtown, PA- The 2013 AMSOIL GNCC Racing Championship wraps up this weekend at the AMSOIL Ironman in Crawfordsville, IN with live coverage on www.RacerTV.com. The main show on track will be between Factory KTM riders Kailub Russell and Charlie Mullins in the XC1 class as the championship comes down to the wire for crowning this years XC1 Champion. The XC2 championship is set to be just as exciting with 5 different winners this season and new names on the podium throughout. Fans online and at the track are sure to be on their feet and edge of the seat all the way to the end.
A 19 year old GNCC rookie from Honeybrook, PA, Shane Hufford, has been one of the new names to watch as he earned his first GNCC career podium finishes in the XC2 class this season aboard his Solid- Performance built Bomley’s KTM 250 XC. In his first full season racing the XC2 class, Shane has proven he is a force to be reckoned with, with two XC2 podiums heading into the final round of the series as well as coming off a season’s best finish with a 2nd place at the Powerline Park GNCC two weeks ago.
At the beginning of the season the announcer was asking who this #459 XC2 rider was as he pulled impressive 4th place finish his second race into the highly competitive XC2 championship. Now the Bomley’s KTM / Solid Performance / Moose Racing / Silkolene / Arai / SIDI / Clockwork KTM / USWE rider sits 4th in his rookie season heading into the final round. ” I’ve been impressed by the progression of Shane this season, on and off the bike.
