MILLVILLE, NJ (Sept. 15, 2013) — Steve Rapp ran off and hid in Sunday’s Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson race and in the process extended his series points lead over Travis Wyman. Rapp led from start to finish and crossed the finish line with 2.160 seconds in hand.

While there wasn’t much excitement at the very front of the field, the battle for second more than made up for it. It was a wild seven-rider affair that came down to final lap. It was group draft that looked like a Mile flat track. In the end it was Tyler O’Hara edging out Eric Stump by drafting him just before the finish line.

It was the sixth podium finish for O’Hara and moved him up from fifth to third in the standings. For Stump it marked his first podium finish of the season and he did it by coming all the way back from sixth place in the last three laps.

Rapp, who scored his fifth win of the season, now holds a 22-point over Wyman, who finished fourth today.
