(Lynnville, Indiana, September 15, 2013) – It’s looking like there’s going to be great weather and a strong turnout for tomorrow’s Black Coal National Enduro in Lynnville, Indiana, round nine of the Rekluse AMA National Enduro Series.
Charlie Mullins (pictured) is hoping to win the Radiant AirGroup Bounty that is awarded to any rider who can win all six tests at one of the new races on the venue this year and the Indiana race qualifies. The bounty have already been offered a four previous rounds and when it’s not won the amount rolls over to the next round, so for tomorrow it sits at $4000. He is also hoping to wrap up this year’s title early and needs only to beat Radiant AirGroup Racing’s Nick Fahringer to do so.
Mullins will have to beat a stacked field, however, if he’s going to sweep tomorrow’s race. Factory Husaberg rider Russell Bobbitt won the previous round in Pennsylvania and he’s also fresh off of an OMA win, so he will be tough. Also, FAR Husqvarna’s Andrew DeLong is finally back on the circuit after missing several rounds due to a broken hand. He, too, is coming in with a big win under his belt after winning the XC2 division at last week’s Unadilla GNCC.
Other riders who can’t be counted out are Fahringer, who sits second in points and is long over-due for a win, plus eight-time national champ Mike Lafferty, who has come close to getting a win this year and is riding as well as he has all year.
Racing gets underway at 9:00 in the morning, and should wrap up early afternoon.
