(New Berlin, New York; August 10, 2013) – Eli Tomac extended his lead in the 250 class points standings to 39 points over series rival Ken Roczen after turning in a 1-1 moto sweep at Unadilla Raceway in New Berlin, New York, round 10 of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

After getting off to mediocre starts in both moto, the GEICO Honda rider was forced to come from behind, moving from eight on the first lap of moto one to take the win, and as far back as sixth in moto two to ultimately take the win.

MyPhlash/Sar Racing Yamaha’s Jeremy Martin grabbed his best finish of the season with a second after going 2-3 in the two motos.

Ken Roczen had what he called an off day, finishing fifth in the first moto. The Red Bull KTM rider salvaged third overall with a solid runner-up finish in moto two.

GECIO Honda’s Zach Osborne was fourth overall with a 3-6 performance, while Monster Energy Pro Circuit’s Blake Baggett finished fifth by virtue of a 4-5 moto tally.

With just two rounds remaining in the series, Tomac carries a healthy lead into next weeks round in Salt Lake city.
