FRANKFORT, I.N. (Aug. 13) — Kyle Wyman Racing is pleased to announce that Malaysian Moto2 standout Hafizh Syahrin will join the AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series with support from his sponsor, PETRONAS. Syahrin will debut his #55 PETRONAS KWR XR1200 during the Red Bull Indianapolis GP this coming weekend.

“I can’t express how excited I am to have Hafizh competing on a KWR XR1200,”  stated Kyle Wyman, Owner. “I’ve watched him race as a wild card in multiple Moto2 events around the world and I believe he will have something for the field in the AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson races at Indianapolis. I’m eager to see how Hafizh adapts to the big-twin and am looking forward to the added attention he will bring to the series.”

Syahrin, 19, who currently sits 3rd in the 2013 Spanish CEV Moto2 Championship, competes under the PETRONAS Talent Development Program, a multi-faceted motorsports enterprise designed to uncover and develop talented young athletes in both two and four wheeled international competition.

“Team PETRONAS Raceline Malaysia is proud to team up with Kyle Wyman Racing and have Hafizh on board in view of their racing experience with the AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley Davidson series,” stated Barry Leong, team manager of Raceline Malaysia.  “Another bonus point for this trip is that Hafizh will be racing in conjunction with the MotoGP round where it will be the in the only calendar weekend where the extended circuit is run. We always explore possibilities for Hafizh to gain more race exposure in targeted GP circuits and Indianapolis Motor Speedway is one that we look forward to.”

Syahrin will compete on a Harley-Davidson XR1200 for the first time and will ride across the famed Brickyard for the first time, but the young rider says it is about the learning experience.

“Indianapolis will be quite exciting as I will be racing on a Harley-Davidson XR1200 bike for the first time,” said Syahrin, “I will try my best to exploit the bike to its full potential. My aim is to learn the track as much as I can and hopefully bring something back from this once in a lifetime experience.”
