6D Helmet’s Jerry Robin wins the 2013 two-stroke championship at Loretta’s.

The following is from 6D Helmets…

Brea, Calif. – A week of inconsistent weather and constantly changing track conditions is what most participants of the 32nd annual AMA Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Motocross Championship will remember most. 6D Helmets was on hand to support the event and display the ATR-1 helmet while many 6D helmeted riders endured the severe conditions all week long. 6D riders brought home 4 championships and we are very proud to be a small part of their success!

Factory Connection Amsoil team rider Jordon Smith was a favorite to win a couple of championships. Despite terrible misfortune in his 250 B motos, Jordon showed he is a force to be reckoned with by scoring a perfect 1-1-1 in the 250 B Limited class for the overall.

One of the most talked about stories of the event was Jerry Robin, the young man who qualified on a 28 year old machine.  Jerry would race his ’85 CR250 in the 250 B class where he battled stiff competition to finish 11th overall!  After a mechanical failure sidelined his race bike, Jerry won the Two-Stroke B/C (16+) championship with a dominating 1,5,1 score on a borrowed 2007 CR250 in an amazing feat of determination and will.

Kawasaki Team Green’s Keith Johnson captured his seventh amateur national title of his career this year. Keith won his first two motos in the Senior 40+ class and carded third in his last moto with a brilliant come from behind race after a terrible first turn crash.  Congratulations Keith!

Adam Nickerson raced to 3 podium finishes and wrapped up the 250C Limited title with consistent 3-1-2 scores in another outstanding effort for this young racer.

6D’s Loretta Lynn’s gallery is now up on our 6D Facebook Fan Page. Check out photos from the week and we invite you to share your own photos and tag your friends too!

6D Helmets would like to thank the many racers, parents, and fans that stopped by our booth during the week to learn more about our helmet and its technology. Special thanks go to everyone who contributed to making this past week possible for 6D including the LaFountaine family, MX Sports, Cernics’ Suzuki, Eric Grondahl, and all of the team at Factory Connection.
