Russell Bobbitt Suffers Injury

Four-time National Enduro Champion Russell Bobbitt will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering an injury while practicing at home in Georgia on Wednesday, June 5.
Bobbitt said that he hadn’t warmed up the bike properly and it bogged, sending him over the handlebars with the machine landing on top of him. The factory-back Husaberg Team riders came away with six broken ribs and a punctured lung.
Bobbitt will for sure miss Sunday’s National in Michigan. The next round is just a few weeks later in Pennsylvania. He’s currently second in points, 20 behind KTM’s Charlie Mullins.
In other enduro news, Husqvarna’s Andrew DeLong will also be out of action for quite some time. DeLong, who won a round of the National Enduro Series earlier this year, broke his hand just before last week’s GNCC in Ohio. The hand required surgery.
There are two rounds left to go in the GNCC series before its summer break. The championship resumes on September 7 at Unadilla
