Rain may have put a halt to the Repsol Honda team’s testing efforts today, but that didn’t leave the MotoGP world completely empty handed as the team’s technical director Takeo Yokoyama presented the new 2014 RC213V prototype to the media in Aragon.
The 2014 prototype is a completely new bike, with both the engine and the chassis getting re-done, according to Yokoyama.
“Our plan is to test it now in order to be able to do, eventually, some changes before the post-race test in Valencia in November,” Yokoyama said. “Anyway, if Dani [Pedrosa] and Marc [Marquez] find something in the bike that they feel is a really big improvement compared to their actual RC213V, HRC will do its best to provide it already later this season as we already did last year.”
According to the forecast the weather should be better tomorrow, allowing for Pedrosa and Marquez to put some laps in on the new bike.
