Friese Leads Race Tech Team Outdoors

Press Release | May 15, 2013
Vince Friese leads Race Tech Outdoors team.

The following is from Race Tech…

Coming off the best Supercross season of his career, Vince Friese looks to carry his momentum into the outdoors aboard a Munn Racing KTM using Race Tech Suspension components including Gold Valves, RT Hi-Performance Springs, and Race Tech’s blend of Ultra Slick Suspension Fluid.

“We spent a number of hours working with Vince through this past offseason prior to Supercross and he rode for us at the Monster Energy Cup last October. We built a great relationship with him; however, the team he aligned with for Supercross had an obligation to another suspension company. We left the door at Race Tech open for Friese, and immediately following the final Supercross round he was back testing with Race Tech,” said Race Tech’s Director of Marketing Chris Riesenberg.

He continued, “I think it says a lot about the product. It is no secret Vince is more focused than ever this season, and he is willing to do whatever it takes to win. To experience another company’s product, and come back just shows the amount of trust he has in Race Tech to make his bike perform. It’s a short window from Vegas to Hangtown, and Vince isn’t just switching from Supercross to Outdoors, but is also on a new team and new brand of bike, but testing has gone great, and we think he will be right at the front of the pack at Hangtown.”

Former factory-star and WORCS Champion Bobby Bonds will also line up at Hangtown aboard Race Tech Suspension for the first time. Following a career that has been filled with the joys of championships and race wins to the lows of injury after injury; Bobby took time away from the sport to fully heal his body. When the doctors fully released him, he set his sites on Hangtown and has been working himself back into shape since.

Friese and Bonds will be joined at the outdoors this summer by a whole host of Race Tech backed privateers. Race Tech truly is privateer proven, and the suspension company of choice by those who have the choice. Look for these Race Tech privateers at a national near you this summer: Vince Friese, Ben Lamay, Derek Anderson, Killy Rusk, Bobby Bonds, Cody Gilmore, Mike Horban, Collin Jurin, Dalton Carlson, Brandon Scharer, Kyle Wolack, Johnny Moore, Preston Mull, Cheyenne Harmon, Chris Johnson, Dustin Pipes, Jason Potter, Kurt McCabe, Michael Lang, Jared Hicks, David Pulley, Tyler Livesay and more!

“The amount of support we are giving out to the privateers goes unmatched. Although it gets hectic at times like the two weeks between Vegas and Hangtown, we truly believe in giving the privateers the product, testing, and support they need to reach their goals. These guys are the backbone of professional racing, and we support them because we love it, but also because we are able to get a ton of great settings and feedback from the riders that we turn around and put into production. Our latest Gold Valve design is a result
