Two-time AMA Supersport Champion James Rispoli has inked a two-year contract with Monster Energy to endorse the brand for the 2013-2014 racing seasons. Rispoli has been a Monster team member since 2010.

Last year, Rispoli had 16 podium finishes and eight wins en route to this second Supersport title and this year has moved up to the Daytona SportBike class with the National Guard Celtic Racing team, finishing seventh in his debut in the Daytona 200.

“2013 has already started off great,” said Rispoli. “I’m in the best shape of my life and having Monster Energy step up to a two-year contract gives me a vote of confidence that will help me focus even more to achieve podiums and win races. I am super excited about the season and the new SportBike class. Riding against the best 600cc Sportbike riders in the USA is as good as it gets for a young rider. I am pumped and can’t wait to get it on at our next stop Road America.

“Being part of the Monster Energy family is incredible. They have helped me so much throughout my career and continue to be there supporting me through rider development programs, marketing, media exposure and much more. I can’t say enough about all the positive things that have come my way since we created the relationship. Just check out my year in review video to see how Monster Energy followed me all season (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWOcOWW8mck).”

Alex Dunston, motorsports manager for Monster, is impressed with Rispoli’s effort.

“In the off season James upped his game, worked hard and continues to impress each time he gets on the track,” Dunstan said. “James had a great 2011 and 2012 season culminating in two National Championships and we look forward to a full 2013 calendar with James’ honing his craft being impressive again as he is challenges himself in the new AMA Pro [Daytona] SportBike class.”
