World Superbike: Indian Round Moves

The first-ever World Superbike round in India has moved from its orginally scheduled date early in the season to late in the season as the final round of the series on on November 17, according to an FIM release issued this morning.

The change was to allow more time to train the marshals and medical staff at the new Buddh Circuit, the FIM says. FIM representatives have a trip to the facility scheduled for January 19-21 for final track homologation and to begin training seminars on how to run a race.

The 2013 World Superbike Schedule is as follows:

June 9 – Portugal, Portimao (STC)

September 29 – USA, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
