Two Killed In Dakar Traffic Accident
Two people were killed yesterday in the Dakar Rally when a support vehicle and two taxis collided in Peru, just six miles from the Chilean border. The two who died were in one of the taxis that collided head on with the support vehicle; the other taxi rolled several times in an attempt to avoid the accident, according to the organizers of the rally.
In addition to the two who died, seven others were injured and are currently in a hospital in Tacna, Peru.
Peruvian authorities have begun an inquiry into the accident in order to determine the exact causes.
