Cycle News Staff | January 28, 2013

Last year’s Daytona 200 winner Joey Pascarella will ride a Riders Discount-backed, factory supported Triumph 675R in the 2013 AMA Daytona SportBike Championship.

The team will start the season on 2012 model Triumphs before switching to the 2013 model for the remaining rounds of the series.

“I can’t explain how excited I am to get 2013 on the way,” Pascarella said in a team release. “I feel better than I ever have and I am ready to get things going. Heading into this season there are some new things and a few things I am very familiar with. The new is going to be mastering the awesome Triumph Daytona 675R. I had the rare opportunity to test the Riders Discount project Triumph 675 and I enjoyed riding it very much. It is a very fun bike to be on and with Riders Discount Triumph’s full support for 2013 I know I am in good hands. The familiar is working with Brian [Gibson – team owner] and Breeann [Poland – team manager] from Riders Discount. They have always believed in me and have had faith in me; I can’t thank them enough. With the support from Riders Discount Triumph behind me I am ready to have a great 2013 season.”
