Greg Blackwell, vice president of sales for LeMans Corporation, is resigning on January 25, to take an executive position with a West Coast-based company in the bicycle industry, according to a report today in Dealernews.
Blackwell confirmed to the website that he has been named president of the bicycle company but declined to provide further details, saying that company will make an announcement later this month.
“It’s the best of both worlds for me,” Blackwell told Dealernews. “I get to work in an industry that I’m passionate about and I don’t have to compete with LeMans. It’s really a great opportunity for me to further my career, and it’s a chance to go back to the West Coast, where my roots are.”
The 55-year-old Blackwell has been with the LeMans Corporation since 1984.
