MAVtv EnduroCross Junior Championship to Be Settled In Las Vegas
Irvine, CA (November 8, 2012) – The upcoming stars of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship are recognized via the MAVtv Junior EnduroCross Championship. It is a series within a series with riders 21 years of age and under eligible. Past Junior Champions include Lucas Oil/Rockstar backed Colton Haaker, the winner of the 2012 Las Vegas opener and Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Taylor Robert, who is currently second in the 2012 Expert points chase. The young riders battling for the 2012 MAVtv EnduroCross Championship prove that there is a large group of talented riders knocking on the door of the established stars.
Arizona’s Bryan Roper will enter the Las Vegas finale as the top ranked rider eligible for the MAVtv Junior EnduroCross Championship. The nineteen year old is currently in 15th in the Championship with 34 points. Ryan Sandoval is next in line with 28 points. The Yamaha rider qualified for his first main event of the year at the Boise, Idaho round and Sandoval is gaining momentum. Oregon’s Keith Sweeten is a few positions back with 22 points but with the double main event format in Las Vegas, there are plenty of points available to pull himself into contention for that number one plate.
Bryan Roper (#125) and Ryand Sandoval (#17) are in a tight battle for the MAVtv Junior EnduroCross Championship, for riders 21 and under
“Bryan Roper, Ryan Sandoval and Keith Sweeten as well as Max Gerston, Ricky Russell and Ty Tremaine have all been awesome to watch in 2012” said Mike Karsting, VP of events for Source Interlink Media. “They are all really good people that are showing that they have what it takes to move up and challenge for the EnduroCross Championship in the future so it is great to recognize them via the MAVtv Junior EnduroCross Championship”.
The Las Vegas finals will take place on Saturday, November 17th inside the Orleans Arena. Like all EnduroCross events, the pit area behind the Orleans Arena will be open to the public for free all day on Friday and Saturday. And the Arena will also be open for free for the Friday and Saturday afternoon practice and qualifying. So come in early to get your favorite riders autograph and watch them get ready for the big show.
