Taddy Blazusiak capped off a stellar EnduroCross season with a double main-event sweep at the final round of the 2012 GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship in Las Vegas, November 17. And with it, the FMF KTM rider wrapped up his fourth AMA EnduroCross Championship in front of a sold-out crowd at The Orleans Arena.

However, the back-to-back wins were by no means a walk in the park for the man from Poland. Not only did he and the rest of the field have to deal with the most difficult rock section of the year (if not ever), he felt big-time pressure in both races from the one rider who has been dogging him for much of the season, Beta’s Cody Webb.

Webb challenged Blazusiak in both 10-lap features. He even passed Taddy for the lead in the first race but couldn’t hold him back and succumbed to the extreme off-road star. Webb still finished second, while Blazusiak’s teammate, Mike Brown finished third.

Webb again hounded Blazusiak for the lead in the second and final race, but the former AMA National Trials Champion was bothered by a sore knee that he had tweaked in the first main event and was unable to maintain the heat on the KTM rider. He still finished out the race in second place.

Third in the second race went to Husqvarna’s Kyle Redmond for his first podium finish of the year.
