2013 AMA Pro Road Racing Schedule

Cycle News Staff | November 9, 2012

AMA Pro Racing has announced nine confirmed rounds for its 2013 GEICO Pro Road Racing schedule with the series still set to include the National Guard Superbike, GoPro Daytona SportBike, Motorcycle-Superstore.com Supersport and the newly named AMA Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series.

The series will kick off at Daytona International Speedway on March 14-16 (the 72nd running of the Daytona 200 will be held on Saturday, March 16) and will conclude at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, September 26-28, with the final round being run in conjunction with the World Superbike event in Monterey. Laguna Seca will host two rounds in 2013, with the sixth round of the AMA series scheduled to run with the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix in July.

The other notable change to the schedule is that the series will run as a standalone event at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, August 2-4. Miller lost its World Superbike round to Laguna Seca and opted to change its date from Memorial Day weekend to the first weekend in August.

The Vance & Hines Harley Series will continue to run as a standalone AMA event at the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix, August 16-18.

Notably missing from the schedule is Road Atlanta, NOLA Motorsports Park and Homestead-Miami Speedway – the three tracks that hosted rounds this year and the three rounds promoted by M1 PowerSports. There are, however, two slots still on the calendar in the form of a To Be Determined (TBD) and a To Be Announced (TBA). The TBD is on the schedule for April/May with the TBA listed as August/September.

March 14-16 – Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, Florida
