Graves Yamaha’s Josh Herrin may miss this weekend’s AMA Superbike finale at the NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans after suffering a shoulder injury on Saturday night while riding a flat tracker.

Herrin, who injured his left shoulder, is currently being evaluated and it’s not yet known if he will be fit to ride this weekend.

“Josh took a nasty spill while training on a flat track bike last Saturday night,” said Keith McCarty, Yamaha’s motorsports racing division manager. “He landed on his left shoulder and may have separated it. He’s going to consult with his doctor, so we’re not sure yet if he’ll be able to race this weekend. We’ll know more, probably by the middle of this week. Obviously, we’re hoping that he’ll be fit enough to ride.”

Herrin is currently third in the AMA Superbike Championship in his rookie season in the class.
