2013 MotoGP Calendar Updated

The FIM released an updated 2013 MotoGP World Championship calendar with two revisions, one of which was known and a second which wasn’t.

Known was that the Circuit of the Americas outside of Austin, Texas would host what is expected to be the third round of the motorcycle world championship on the weekend of April 19-21. The race may be preceded by the Argentine Grand Prix, which, if it joins the calendar, will be the weekend before Austin. Otherwise, Austin would host the second round after the season-opener in Qatar.

Moving one week earlier is the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring. The race will be held on July 7 rather than the 14th. That puts it the weekend after the Dutch TT, as it was this year, and also gives the MotoGP riders a weekend off before flying to the U.S. for the Red Bull U.S Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
