Baylor Withdraws From Six Days

Steward Baylor Jr. has withdrawn his entry from this month’s ISDE in Germany. At last weekend’s Leadbelt National Enduro in Missouri, Baylor, who was to represent the United States on the Junior World team, re-aggravated the hand he broke earlier this year at a GNCC race. Baylor is currently leading the 2012 AMA National Enduro Championship and will now sit out the Six Days to let his hand heal.

Baylor will be replaced by New Jersey’s Jesse Groemm who just finished fifth in the Leadbelt National on a KTM.

“Obviously, losing Steward is a big disappointment, but we’re fully confident that Jesse is ready to step in and compete at the highest level,” said AMA Off-Road Manager Chuck Weir.

The U.S. Junior World team will now be made up of Travis Coy, Andrew DeLong, Thad Duvall and Groemm.

The ISDE is set to begin on September 24 in Saxony, Germany.
