Tickle Fastest At Southwick

Southwick, Mass, August 11 – Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Broc Tickle turned a few heads by setting the fastest time in qualifying for today’s round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at Southwick, Massachusetts.

The track was relatively smooth and fast in the first qualifying session, which is where Tickle posted his flying lap. An all day rain yesterday left the sandy Southwick course in perfect shape for today’s race, and the second sessions was much slower, after it whooped out to its normal consistency.

Second in qualifying was series points leader Ryan Dungey, the Red Bull KTM rider turning a time that was three-tenths slower than Tickle, but just about one-tenth faster than third place qualifier Tyla Rattray, on a Monster Energy Kawasaki.

Muscle Milk Honda rider was fourth, with Robert Marshall posting the fifth-best time on a KTM.

Sixth through 10th were occupied by Mike Alessi (Su); Davi Millsaps (Yam); Kyle Chisholm (Kaw); Michael Byrne (Suz) and Phillip Nicoletti (Hon).

In the 250 class, GEICO Powersports Honda riders Eli Tomac and Justin Barcia occupied the top two spots, with Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Blake Bagget in third.

Red Bull KTM teammates Marvin Musquin and Ken Roczen rounded out the top five.
