Horvath Badly Injured At Willow

Young road racer Rocco Horvath suffered a back injury on Saturday when he crashed on the exit of turn two at Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond, California, and was struck by another rider.

Team Rotobox/Nexx’s Horvath was competing in WERA West’s Middleweight Solo class.

The 17-year-old Horvath was initially unconscious, according to a release from his team, but he regained consciousness in the ambulance en route to Antelope Valley Hospital. Horvath could not move his legs, according to the release, and he has been sedated and is expected to undergo surgery to further asses the damage.
