Munroe Motors’ co-owner Nick Hayman continues to recover from serious injuries suffered in a crash during Sunday’s Supersport race at Infineon Raceway.

Hayman, who’d finished 19th in Saturday’s race on his Munroe Motors Ducati 848EVO, was involved in a crash on the fifth of 15 laps, while lying 18th. Hayman suffered severe head injuries, a broken collarbone, arm and ribs, with his hip taking a hard hit in the fall.

He was airlifted to nearby Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where treatment immediately began to stabilize his condition before treating his injuries.

According to friends, Hayman continues to improve and and is responding to physical input to his feet and hands, arms and legs, and seems to be trying to open his eyes. They believe it’s only a matter of time before he wakes up.
