Mickey Fay Jr. Update

Larry Lawrence | April 13, 2012

Mickey Fay called to say they found out last night that his son, Mickey Fay Jr., has four broken vertebrae in addition to his serious lung injuries after being involved in a single-car accident on Tuesday. Fay’s lung issues are the most pressing right now and are going to need further surgery to repair. Fay went on to say his son has a long road of recovery in front of him and he’s asking for help from the racing community.

“Mickey is almost 20 years old and trying to make it on his own,” his dad said. “Now he’s going to be out of work for months and we found out he only had liability on his truck, so he won’t have a vehicle. We’re doing what we can, but I wanted to reach out to the motorcycling community for any help they can give.”

Cards and donations can be sent to help Mickey at:

Fay Sr. also wanted to send thanks to all those who have sent messages of encouragement to him and his family.

“The motorcycle racing community is so close knit. We stick together and help each other and I’m so grateful.”
