Chaparral Steps Up As L&MC Title Sponsor

Chaparral Motorsports is back in the racing business and the L&MC Racing team has a title sponsor again. And it’s not the first time the two entities have worked together. Remember those three Supercross titles in 1989, ’99 and 2000?

The sponsorship package reunites Chaparral with Larry Brooks and Jeremy McGrath – 12 years after McGrath won the last of three Supercross titles for Chaparral in a team managed by Brooks. That team became the first non-factory effort to win the Supercross title.

With Supercross.com no longer the title sponsor of the team, Chaparral’s Dave Damron stepped up and Andrew Short will ride a Honda in Chaparral livery, starting this weekend in the Salt Lake City Supercross and continuing through the AMA National Motocross Series.

“We are missing a number-one plate for the AMA Motocross Outdoor series – and want to add a motocross championship to a list of accomplishments that Chaparral has been a part of,” said Chaparral Motorsports’ Damron. “Andrew Short’s proven success in the outdoors – and the recent Seattle win – Larry Brook’s dedication as a team manager, and Jeremy McGrath’s championship success are the winning combination to a number-one plate.”

San Bernardino, California’s Chaparral Motorsports is recognized as one of the largest motorcycle accessory and vehicle dealerships in the country.
