Cafe Racer Back for Season Three
Cycle News Staff | April 17, 2012
Café Racer kicks off its third season this coming Thursday, April 19, with a mixture of features that has made the program one of the most popular on the Velocity network.
The season begins with a trip across the Atlantic Ocean to visit the shop of the legendary builder, NCR Ducati. The venerable firm has turned out race-winning Ducatis for over 45 years for some of the biggest names in racing, including Mike Hailwood, who won the 1978 Formula 1 World Championship on the Isle of Man. The team visits the race shop in Bologna to collect exclusive parts for a one-of-a-kind build.
In later episodes, Ben and Eric Bostrom return for a third year to put the retro machines through their paces, and join in the spirit of the show with a surprise build. They also visit Café Racer’s home track of Little Talladega, which gets a workout as the testing grounds for a number of the original builds. And there’s an exclusive look into the Cretins, America’s first café racing society.
The new season of CAFÉ RACER premieres on Velocity Thursday, April 19 at 8:00 PM (ET/PT), followed by a special bonus premiere episode at 8:30PM (ET/PT).
