TwoTwo Motorsports Chad Reed got bad news during his hospital visit yesterday after crashing out of the Dallas Supercross on Saturday night – he’s more injured than anyone thought.

Reed suffered a fractured tibia/fibula, a torn ACL in his knee, two broken ribs and a broken T6 vertebra in the crash – injuries that likely will mark the end of his 2012 Supercross season. Reed said more information as to his plans will be released later.

“Well, I spent the day in the hospital yesterday here’s the damage: 2 broken ribs, broken spinous T6. Torn ACL and fractured tib fib,” Reed wrote on his Twitter feed this morning.

Reed had caught Ryan Villopoto in the Supercross final in Dallas when he was kicked over the bars of his Honda.
